Apple cider vinegar is one of the ingredients in the dressing for my California Energy Salad that I just posted on my “Recipes” page. My ACV (apple cider vinegar) of choice is Bragg’s. I have a giant bottle of it in my cupboard right now. It is organic, raw, unfiltered, and unpasteurized. Bragg’s is a traditionally fermented ACV that is oh, so good for you 🙂 Apple cider vinegar has long been touted in folk medicine for its health benefits. Now science is confirming these qualities. A study has shown that ACV may counteract a rise in blood sugar after consuming a carb-heavy meal. The acetic acid in ACV may allow simple carbohydrates (that break down quickly into glucose in the bloodstream) to pass through your system, much like fiber. This would help stabilize blood sugar levels. Another study has shown that ACV may lower high blood pressure. Remember, only traditionally fermented ACV will provide these benefits. Choose high-quality products whenever possible!
